There’s nothing like a good ol’ blues shuffle, always a crowd pleaser for any band. In this lesson, we’ll work on nailing that 8th-note shuffle feel. As a bass player, you need to be able to play this groove indefinitely, as the rest of the band looks to you (and the drummer) to supply that one-of-a-kind shuffle feel. As in all my lessons, the first examples are relatively simple, while the latter ones are more developed. No worries, though: the backing tracks will accommodate your playing, no matter which examples you choose. Ready: shuffle!
